（2）Materials required 

1、passport: valid for more than 6 months, with a blank visa page of the original passport and passport photo page photocopy.

2、Visa Application form and photo: 1 copy of the Visa Application Form of the People's Republic of China and 1 recent photo of a colored passport with a light background and headless head affixed to the application form.

3、Proof of Legal stay or residence (for those applying for a visa outside their country of nationality) : If you are applying for a visa outside your country of nationality, you need to provide the original and copy of a valid proof of legal stay, residence, work, study or a valid visa in your country of origin.

4、Original Chinese passport or original Chinese visa (applicable to those who used to have Chinese nationality and later became a foreign nationality) : If you are applying for a Chinese visa for the first time, you must provide the original Chinese passport and a copy of the passport photo information page; If you have been issued a Chinese visa and apply for a new foreign passport, you must provide the photo information page of the original foreign passport and a copy of the previous Chinese visa (if the name on the new passport is different from that on the original passport, you must also provide the relevant official documents to prove the change of name).

5、One of the following materials

(1) Employment Permit Certificate for Foreigners issued by the Department of Human Resources and Social Security; If the duration of work does not exceed 90 days, the Certificate of Foreigners' Short-term Work in China shall also be provided, and the applicant shall apply for the visa before the start date indicated in the Certificate of Foreigners' Short-term Work in China, and the working time shall not exceed the period noted in the Certificate of Foreigners' short-term work in China;

(2) The Work Permit for Foreign Experts in China or the Notice of Work Permit for Foreigners issued by the Bureau of Foreign Experts Affairs;

(3) The Registration Certificate of Resident Representative Office of Foreign (regional) Enterprise issued by the administrative department of industry and commerce;

(4) The approval for commercial performance issued by the competent department of cultural administration (only applicable to the applicant for commercial performance in China); If the duration of the performance does not exceed 90 days, the Certificate of Foreigners' Short-term Work in China shall be provided, and the applicant shall apply for the visa before the start date indicated in the Certificate of Foreigners' Short-term Work in China, and the duration of the performance shall not exceed the period noted in the Certificate of Foreigners' Short-term Work in China;

(5) Invitation Letter for Foreigners to Engage in offshore Oil Operations in the People's Republic of China issued by China National Offshore Oil Corporation;

[Please note] After entering China, the holder must apply for a residence permit within 30 days to the Exit and Entry Administration of the public security organ of the local people's government at or above the county level of the intended place of residence, except that the stay period is 30 days and the visa is marked with "the working time shall not exceed the period specified in the work certificate".
