What are the regulations for overseas personnel regardingaccommodation registration?
According to Article 39 of the Exit and Entry Administration Law of the People's Republic of China, where foreigners stay in hotels within the territory of China, the hotels shall handle the accommodation registration for them in accordance with the relevant provisions of the public security administration of the hotel industry, and submit the registration information of foreigners to the local public security organs.
Aliens who live or stay in a residence other than a hotel shall, within 24 hours after check-in, register with the public security organ of their place of residence by themselves or the host.
At the same time, in accordance with Article 17 of the Interim Administrative Measures for Chinese Citizens' Private Travel to and from Hong Kong or Macao;
Article 16 Residents of Hong Kong and Macao coming to the Mainland and residents of Taiwan coming to the Mainland shall handle accommodation registration in accordance with relevant regulations.
