Yunnan-Guizhou Culture

Yunnan and Guizhou are located in the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, where multi-ethnic groups coexist and flourish. The ancient city of Lijiang of the Naxi nationality shows the absorption and integration of the Central Plains, Xizangan and Bai cultures by the Naxi nationality with the courtyard buildings of "three lanes, one screen wall" and "four courtyards and five courtyards". As "the only living hieroglyph", Dongba hieroglyph records the religion, history and life of the Naxi people, while the Dongjing music of Baisha Fine Music combines the ancient music of the Central Plains with the tunes of Naxi folk songs.

The Torch Festival of the Yi people shows the worship of nature and the love of life of the Yi people with bonfire carnival, wrestling competition and the weaving skills of the fire straw jacket. With fire grass as the warp and hemp thread as the weft, the fire grass jacket in Zika Village has become a living fossil of Yi costumes through cutting, sewing and beating. The Lusheng Festival of the Miao nationality and the "June 6" of the Buyi nationality inherit the national memory in the form of singing and dancing, bullfighting and antiphonal songs.

In terms of natural landscape, the colorful pools of Nine-village Valley, the majestic Huangguoshu Falls and the strange peaks and rocks of the Stone Forest constitute the natural wonders of Yunnan and Guizhou, while the tropical rainforest of Xishuangbanna and the karst landform of Puzhehei show the diverse ecological features of Yunnan and Guizhou. Nowadays, Yunnan's "one mobile phone tour to Yunnan" platform and Guizhou's "village super" football match are promoting Yunnan-Guizhou culture to the world by means of digitalization and sports.
