The bronze sacred trees and masks unearthed from the Sanxingdui site promoted the ancient Shu civilization to the world. The golden ornament of the sun God bird from the Jinsha site became the symbol of Chengdu. As a world cultural heritage, the Dujiang Dam Water Conservancy Project has been nourishing the Chengdu Plain for more than two thousand years with the wisdom of dam-free water diversion and gravity irrigation, and still plays the role of flood control and irrigation.
Sichuan Opera is famous for its "face-changing" and "fire-breathing" stunts, which combine Gaoqiang, Kunqiang, Huqin, Tanxi and Lantern Opera to form the artistic characteristics of "one opera with multiple tunes". The Wudan performance of Green Snake in The Legend of White Snake and the Kunqiang singing in Peony Pavilion all reflect the compatibility of Bashu art. Shu embroidery is famous for its "double-sided embroidery" skills, with 12 kinds of stitches, and patterns such as hibiscus carp and panda are sold overseas.
In terms of food culture, Sichuan cuisine is famous for "one dish, one grid, one hundred dishes and one hundred flavors". The spicy, spicy, hot and fragrant flavor of Mapo Tofu, the spicy litchi flavor of Kung Pao chicken and the rich sauce flavor of Saute Pork in Hot Sauce all reflect the ultimate pursuit of taste level of Sichuan cuisine. Hot pot has become the representative of Bashu diet with butter pot bottom, Maodu, yellow throat and other ingredients.
In terms of literature and philosophy, Li Bai's "The Road to Sichuan is Difficult" and Su Shi's "The Great River Goes East" express their feelings against the background of Bashu, while Yang Xiong's "Dialect" and Guo Moruo's "Goddess" show the outstanding contributions of Bashu literati in literature and academia. Nowadays, the wide and narrow lanes and Jinli Ancient Street in Chengdu combine traditional architecture with modern commerce and become a new landmark for the inheritance of Bashu culture.
