The French-language original musical Molière premieres in Wuhan

Recently, the French original musical "Molière", which swept seven French drama awards and attracted over 500,000 cumulative attendees, staged a brilliant performance at Wuhan Qintai Grand Theatre in Hanyang on October 30.

This stage masterpiece, focusing on the artistic life of French classical drama master Molière, has rapidly become a "word-of-mouth dark horse" in the European musical market since its premiere in Paris in 2018. This time, landing in Hanyang, Wuhan, marks its first Chinese tour in the seven years since its inception. From October 30 to November 2, it will perform six shows at Wuhan Qintai Grand Theatre, taking the audience on a journey through time to relive the legendary life of Molière, the "poet of comedy".

According to reports, the French original musical Molière has swept numerous European theater awards since its Paris premiere in 2018, thanks to its solid narrative, moving melodies, and exquisite production. It has continuously broken box office records in French theaters, with over 160 sold-out performances attracting more than 500,000 attendees, establishing itself as a "word-of-mouth dark horse" in the European musical market.

This arrival in Wuhan marks the first time a French original musical themed around "Molière" has landed in Central China, filling a gap in the category of "French classical musicals."
