The 8th Wuhan Design Biennale breaks away from previous formats by innovatively adopting the "1+1+N" exhibition framework to create a city-wide collaborative design feast. Beyond the main venue at Wuhan International Expo Center and the sub-venue at Chenhu International Town in Caidian District, a series of parallel conferences and activities will be held across multiple creative communities and demonstration parks throughout the city, allowing design elements to permeate the entire urban landscape.
For the first time, the biennale implements a coordinated nine-theme exhibition layout across both main and sub-venues, comprehensively showcasing cutting-edge achievements in the design field. The main venue will feature seven thematic exhibition zones including the "Smart Design for Urban-Water Symbiosis Exhibition" and "AI Creative Design Exhibition", while the sub-venue will present two signature exhibitions: the "International Wetland City Design Exhibition" and the "By the Water" International Master Invitation Exhibition.

Of particular note is the inaugural launch of the Digital Creative Design Achievement Exhibition and the AI Creative Design Exhibition at this biennale, showcasing cutting-edge applications of VR/XR, digital humans, and other frontier technologies in design innovation. Simultaneously, the Architecture & Planning Frontier Design Exhibition and the Industrial Design Award-Winning Works Exhibition will curate internationally acclaimed pieces including those from the ARCASIA Awards for Architecture and Germany's Red Dot Design Award, enabling visitors to experience a concentrated global design excellence in one location.
This biennale will gather nearly 10 academicians, 12 national engineering survey and design masters, over 20 renowned scholars, and more than 10 UN-Habitat experts to collectively deliberate on the future of design. Delegates from international creative cities including the United Kingdom, Spain, and Singapore, alongside domestic counterparts from Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, and other Chinese creative cities, will converge in Wuhan to discuss collaborative pathways for building "City of Design" status.

It is reported that as an important carrier of the construction of Wuhan's "Design Capital", the Wuhan Design Biennale has been held for seven consecutive sessions since its successful application in 2017, and has become an important window for Wuhan's foreign exchange. This biennial exhibition will further strengthen the enabling role of design in high-quality urban development, efficient governance and high-quality life, and help Wuhan build a "distinctive, world-class" design capital.
